Having worked for a Japanese company for many years they used a "solid" 
version of the metal cup washer.  I was able to gather a  dozen or so of 
them from deposed equipment over the years.  Unlike the stamped cup 
washers the back side is flat (milled).  I've used these on several of 
my nicer pieces in the shack (my SX-115 and Millen rack).  I'll place a 
plastic washer between the washer and rig to further protect equipment

My question, has anyone ever seen these solid cup washers available from
