Going on 60 years I don't remember reading or discussing the  
Federalist Papers either.  Do remember being disappointed in the  
coverage of WW1, though, which had occurred only 30 years prior.   I   
had previously exhausted the holdings of our local public library on  
the subject and considered myself  bit of an expert.....  :^)
