I do like the fact that my boat anchor radios do not preach at me about politics or philosophy so long as they are broken. The problem occurs once you have repaired them and they can pick up all the garbage on the air.

You're right. They do teach a form of history still. I believe it's called
Revisionist History in the name of social justice, which places more
emphasis on lesser events, raising them to the level of significant ones,
for a 'feel good' result. The same mindset that required removal of Honor
Rolls and the likes because it supposedly made the kids who didn't make the
cut feel bad about themselves. Artificial self-esteem is the goal of
today's public education system, not actual learning.

That's the good thing about working on boatanchor radios; they're not
partial or emotional. They'll teach you the right way, even if it kills
you. (o:
