I won't say that they do not teach History any longer, it is a very 
frustrating thing in the manner in which they currently teach, and the 
Curriculum.

It has really gone down hill!

This comes from what and how I was taught, observing and helping two of 
my own going through school, and now watching and helping my Grand 
daughter going through school.

Things are below par!

When my son was in about the 5th or 6th grade, he took a slide rule to 
school.  I had taught him how to use one, since he was curious.  It was 
a Log, Log, Decitrig by K&E.

He took it to school, the math teacher didn't know what it even was!

So he came to the front of the clas, at the teacher's behest, she sat in 
one of the class desks, and HE taught class in Math that day!

Made my chest puff up!
