[Boatanchors] For Sale: Collins 75A-1 and 353C-31 mechanical filter adapter

For Sale is a 75A-1 SN 1106 in good working and good physical condition.

The 75A-1 has a new power supply filter electrolytic, chassis cleaned,
transformers painted, all dials cleaned, all #328 lamps replaced, new line
cord, new audio gain pot, switches cleaned, knobs cleaned, polished and
lines whitened, outer cabinet lightly over sprayed, and it was aligned per
the manual.

This 75A-1 at one time was improved by changing the RF stage to a 6BZ6, the
mixer to the 7360 and the LO to a 6AH6. A previous owner also added a switch
to change AVC from fast to slow but did a neat job adding the switch as a
mirror image of the noise blanker switch. I left the switch but removed the
hay stack wiring though it will be included along with schematic.

This radio also appears to have had RCA connectors added for use with a CE
Sideband Slicer with Q-multiplier. The connectors have been removed and
holes neatly covered. I will include the wiring and connectors if desired to
reverse this. 

I'd rate this radio as 7 out of 10. It sounds good, is very stable, 

The 353C-31 mechanical filter is also available either included or extra
depending on the buyers wishes.

I'm asking $500 for the 75A-1 and $150 for the 353C-31 if purchased with the
radio, $250 if it is still unsold after the radio is sold. Price for the
radio is pick up in Northern New Jersey, however I will cooperate with
anyone who wishes it shipped via Atlas Van Lines or taken to the UPS Store
for them to pack it at cost. I can take PayPal.
