The problem is, once the door is opened all control seems to go away. "You
let X post, so why can't I?" And so forth.
This was tried a decade ago and it did not work. The battles and arguing
nearly destroyed the list. Personally I do not care to go through that
again.
For what is worth, there is a list on 'mailman.qth.net' just for EBAY links,
comments or whatever. Guess what? Nobody liked that either! As far as I know
that very list is still here, so go there and post all the EBAY related
stuff you feel inclined to do.
