[Boatanchors] Difficulty downloadiing and opening 73 Magazine files with BitTorent

Maybe this will be considered a "Boatanchor" topic:

I have attempted a couple of times trying to download and open the 73 
Magazine archives.  I am using BitTorent 7.6.1.  The files seem to 
download OK (they take a good bit of time even on a good 3Mbps DSL 
circuit).

But when I try to open any given month, Adobe tells me  "the files are 
damaged and could not be repaired".  All the files give the same 
report.  I've tried it with Adobe Acrobat Standard v6 and the latest 
Adobe reader.

Has anyone else encountered this?  Or does anyone have any suggestions?  
Is there a better Torrent application?
