Hi Guys, I have come to the point where my original as a ham 1969 FORTY-SIXTH EDITION handbook is falling
apart. The binding has come loose and the book is in three sections now. My plan is to remove the edge of
the cover (soft cover) and glue the binding back together, then replace the binder edge with a scanned
FILE copy in color which I will then print on some heavy paper and glue that on the edge.
I have tried 3 times to get the ARRL to lend me a hand with this, since I am a member of 42 years
longevity thinking they would be considerate and fulfill my need. They replied once by mailing two B/W
copies printed on light weight paper but were from 1960 and was not the same printing as mine and said
"THE RADIO AMATEUR'S HANDBOOK" with "BY THE A.R.R.L. STAFF" underneath the title. Not what I asked for.
Mine has at the top of the edge binding "FORTY-SIXTH EDITION" with "THE RADIO AMATEUR'S HANDBOOK" below
that and "1969" in white on black at the bottom. The cover is yellow.
Is anyone is able to help me with this project? It would be greatly appreciated. This is not my earliest
purchased, it would be the 31st edition 1954 which is worn after carrying it around with me in the
military for many years but has not come apart like the first one as a ham 1969 edition.
