[Boatanchors] Question for Tektronix Folks

My bench scope is a Tek. 454 (have two of them).  
The vertical amp railed and I found one of the 2N4275 
transistors open-collector.
The specs for a 2n2222 show it more robust that the
4275, but it tops at 250 mHz vs. the 4275's 400 mHz,
plus the 2222 has double the collector capacitance,
8 pFd vs 4 pFd.  Still pretty small.
So will a 2222 work for now or am I going to mung it up
while I wait for the right transistor?
