[Boatanchors] Power Cord size

Nope! At my Home Depot there is a movable rack over 20 feet tall and there is a list of the wire available on the rack. The 12-3 power cord is definitely listed as "special order only"! Why? I have no idea!

Hi Glen,
2 Weeks ago, I bought 10 feet of #12 rubber covered suitable for wet
location cable with a 600V rating to use on the Hallicrafters P-200 power
supply. Granted, the guy had to look for a while to find it but it was on their
list and he had to go and get a man lift to get it down off the top shelf.
The cost for 10 feet was $13.00. Maybe your guy was just lazy.
BTW, there is plenty of 300V rated cable around but for me with my line
voltage running near 250V, 300V insulation is not enough safety for me.
