I am refurbishing a Hallicrafters Amplifier 1950s vintage ( HT33A) with PL172A/8295 amplifier tube. Total maximum power consumption is approximately 2,800 watts at 115 vac.. The transformer is 115 volt primary ONLY.
I am replacing the two conductor power cord with a three conductor power cord and am interested in using rubber covered SO type flexible cord with stranded wire. I propose using about 10 feet of power cord.
I have an idea about what gauge copper wire should be in the power cord, but would appreciate some input regarding recommended conductor size in the three wire power cord and best type cord and place to acquire the three conductor power cord
Please give me your tips. 73, John, K5PGW "Old Geezer Radio"
