Silkspan does not shrink unless it is applied wet over an open
structure...like wing ribs, then doped with nitrate...butyrate shrinks more.
Applied dry on a surface....silkspan does not shrink.

It still IS Silkspan.
It still shrinks when wetted.
It'll shrink with Nitrate Dope, sold by Sig.
Full scale use ceconite, and cement it down, where it joins. They then use
a heat gun.
Piper J-3s, PT-17 Stearman, and a whole bunch of others.
Some of those are ALSO painted with Dope.
