Hi Joe,

I have an original that fits the standard size nuts of olde'. This one looks the same except it is adjustable, probably good in this time and age. Mine came from an old radio repairman and is probably 60+ years old.

You must hold it exactly perpendicular to the panel, as it can easily slip off the narrow nut.

Thanks for sharing.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Interesting Tool

Guys:

I came across a very interesting tool while searching for parts to repair my son's electric guitar:

http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Tools:_Toggle_switch_wrench.html

It's designed to remove the knurled nuts on Gibson toggle switches. These appears to be the same kind we encounter on boatanchors. I'm staring at two on my SX-28 (In/Out Bass and Send/Receive) and three on my SX-62 (Send/Receive, Xtal Calibrator and Noise Limiter). They're always a pain to remove with a pliers. The pliers always seem to leave scars.

Has anyone used this type of tool? If so, how does it work?
