[Boatanchors] Advice on HP-853A Spectrum Analyzer

 I may have an opportunity to acquire an HP-853A Spectrum Analyzer with an
HP-8557A plug-in.

This will be my first real run at a spectrum analyzer for the shack, and I
am hopeful someone can provide some insight on this unit.

I don't have a specific application in mind other than perhaps 1) checking
IF passband response, mostly around 455 KHz, and 2) checking for spurious
radiation from electronic devices around 145 Mhz with accurate dbm readings.

Any input from this vast body of knowledge would be appreciated!
