It depends on your definition of good!

For a pre-World War II receiver it is acceptable although there were definitely better receivers available.

It does have a single r.f. and two i.f. stages.

I have been offered a Hallicrafter. Is this a very good receiver ? It is of 
the 1RF stage and 2IF stage type of receiver.
