Mack,
The original KR2349-1 relay was a 11,700 ohm coil with a pull-in of 8 ms.
My Valiant has a replacement P&B coil that is a 6.0 VDC relay with a 10,000
ohm coil with a 9 ms pull-in. You'd never notice the difference. I'd be
willing to share the mod with you if you want.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Needed: Valiant T/R Relay
I'd like to purchase a transmit/receive (PTT) relay for a Johnson Valiant
AM transmitter. It's a Potter Brumfield KR-2349-1 DPDT. I measured the
voltage at the coil to be 230 VDC unkeyed. I'd like an original relay from
a parts rig but I'd also like to know if you're aware of a replacement
relay. Searches on Mouser, etc, didn't yield anything. Please reply via
private email to w4ax.mack at gmail.com if you have a relay you'll sell me.
Thank you in advance for any help.
