[Boatanchors] EV Microphone

I picked up an Electo Voice 676 Dynamic Cardioid microphone at a flea 
market for $1 this morning.  Is it useful as boat anchor microphone?  It 
appears to be an older one as it is polished chrome rather than painted 
and the attenuation switch is a ring at the base rather than a slide switch.
