[Boatanchors] Need Heathkit HD-1250 Dip Meter Coil

All,
Thanks to all who answered my query. I did fix the coil tonight and it
doesn't look bad at all. I sliced (lengthwise with respect to the tube)
three short sections about 3/16" wide each and to the length of the last
wind of the coil. By folding the three flaps back I was able to unwind a
little more than a half inch of good wire to work with. I then took out the
broken original wire from the center of the RCA jack and soldered in a new
one long enough to feed back through the hole and meet the half inch I just
unwound. I soldered the two together and put the flaps back with crazy glue.
I finished it off with a small strip of shrink tube on the end leaving half
of the coil windings showing. It looks real good and almost as if it was
made that way from the factory.

Hi Alan,
You might also try posting this to the Heathkit list. Good luck!
