Looking at the references here's what I'm down to

Made by National RAO RAO-1 RAO-2 RAO-6 RAO-7 RAO-9

Says "National High Frequency Receiver NC-120" on front

Has S Meter

Two RF's / back porch

Has SO-239 Panadapter

So it is a RAO-6 S/N between 1 and 200 ?

looks like has the add-on box mounting although the box is missing

But has the twist-lock power connector that is associated with the
higher s/n's ...

So a mix of low s/n RAO-6, higher s/n RAO-6

Why do people take ID plates off specially when not in the way or
visible .. sigh
