Joe,
No, you don't measure the resistance.
What you are going to do, is to check the continuity from the hot leg to
the cut off end of the replacement cord.
You have to do this to determine which leg is which, once you cut off
the end that would plug into the computer or other device.
Someone also commented on the wire gauge. Check the outer jacket to see
what the wire gauge is of the conductors is. It needs to be at least 14
gauge wire.
Then you will WRITE down the color associated with which pin on the plug.
You can then push it through the grommet or the part that squeezes the
cord to provide strain relief.
Then with the written color code, you attach the replacement as needed
to match the way the HT-37 was wired.
We are all used to white/black/green. The international colors are NOT
the same!
