[Boatanchors] how the transistor got it's name

 There's a page or so about that in the book "The Invention That Changed The World". Don't have the author's name handy. The book is mostly about radar but transistor invention was included as one of the developments that influenced the evolution. IIRC, part of the story was that the inventors were deadset against any names with "tron" in it.
