[Boatanchors] NC-125 Problem

Hi Joe,

In a receiver of that sort, on that band, the local oscillator operates
on the high side of the received signal. I.e., when the dial is set to
3.3 the LO would be 3.755. When the dial is set to 2.39, the LO will be
455 KHz below 3.3, and you'll receive an unwanted image. It is the role
of the RF and mixer tuned circuits to suppress the image. When you do
the alignment, near the upper end of the band, make sure you observe a
PEAK on both trimmers.

However, I also get them from 2.4 to 3.1 mhz, which is a difference of about twice the 455 khz IF. The signals in both places are of about equal strength, although the overall sensitivity of this band is less than it should be. I don't have this issue on the other bands.
