Absolutely, Rob. I cleared out a bunch of 845s and 211s a couple years
back and did quite well. Not on par with the 300Bs, but quite well
considering what I had in them to start. Reproduction 845s are
available that work as well as originals for our purposes, and for far
less money than the RCA or Amperex examples bring today.
Of course, it's a double-edged sword: I need some 6B4Gs now for a
couple transmitters but they tend to be pricey for the same reasons.
