Your input on replacing germanium and schottky diodes and effect of leaving lead lengths long will be appreciated.
I am installing two schottky diodes in a balanced modulator. Space for installation is TIGHT and I am worrying about damaging the NEW diodes by over heating them. For those reasons I feel that the lead lengths should be long enough to install them and keep them from being overheated.
What is your experience with leaving diode lengths fairly long? Thanks in advance. 73, John, K5PGW
