At least in my case, I order by telephone, I not only get a confirmation of the order by E-Mail, I also get another E-Mail when the order ships giving the tracking number.

Bill,

I have been using online ordering from Mouser for many years but around 10 years ago I mostly used the 800 number for ordering.  At that time their order staff was on commission and that is probably still the case.  The service level was (and sounds like still is) excellent.  Several times on phone orders the CSR would suggest a lower cost equivalent that was a new item.  The most interesting order was when I was stocking up on hookup wire and the young lady commented that my wire color choices were quite boring and she would be happy to help me choose some more interesting wire colors :)

It takes some time but the search process does get easier over time at Mouser.

Does Mouser still send an email listing of your order after you place it via phone?  I thought that was a nice touch which provides you with the opportunity to correct any mistakes priors to the order being picked and shipped.

It would be nice if Mouser would take over my local phone company :)
