Jim, Richard, et al,

I have not run across this "flexweave" as of yet.

I absolutely DO know that the stranded "antenna wire that HRO is trying 
to sell to hams is nothing more than bare stranded #12.  You can cut it 
in a blink of an eye with any wire cutters.

Theirs has no steel in it at all.  I made that mistake ONCE.  It 
stretched for I have no idea how long.  I got fed up with having to go 
back out and prune it to proper length once more.

I can only surmise that the antenna wire that I obtained from Army MARS 
was made the "old" way, and NOT the way I read described earlier.
