Interesting observation about Nuvistors. I have quite a few, not sure why
I've been picking
them up other than nostalgia (my first tube project after many decades used
a Nuvistor
as a crystal oscillator). I guess this means that I should test a few of my
stash. Since
they are mostly NIB I've been assuming that they are OK.

Since we're talking about Nuvistors, comparing 6m RF amplifiers - would a
Nuvistor
pentode or a 6DJ8 (VHF dual triode) in a cascode arrangement give a lower
noise figure?
