[Boatanchors] Carbon Comp Resistors

What is the voltage rating on the old carbon comp resistors?  I am 
rebuilding a Hallicrafters P-26 power supply.  It uses two 500V 
electrolytic capacitors in series for the HV filter with series 470K 2W 
resistors.  I bought a couple of 470K 2W metal film resistors to replace 
them.  I see they are rated at 500V but just wondered what the old 
carbon comp are rated.  I guess if the filter capacitors are 500V, 
that's all the rating I need for the series resistors.
