What I thought was an EL91 in my vacuum tube trove turned out to be EL81's. 
Nearest I can see if you are pinched to find a substitute, you might try a 
6AK6.  The base connections are different so you will have to make an 
adapter.  The specifications of the 6AK6 and 6AM5/EL-91 are very close.

I assume it is used as the audio output stage?
