[Boatanchors] SB 200 Harbach power supply printed sircuit board and R8

R8 on the Harbach, so called, power supply upgrade, is blown. No schematic 
changes are provided by Harbach. I am trying what purpose R8 serves in the power 

supply high voltage circuit. 


R8 is a 3.6 1/4 watt resistor and it made a "big bang".

Any experience out there with R8. Your help will be greatly appreciated. 73,
