Ray Jeff made ship to shore radios in the 50's and 60's. Quite top of the
line units at that.

A friend stumped me today when he asked about a piece of equipment made by
Ray
Jefferson, Inc. Now, there was a company of this name in Freeport, NY that
supposedly made crystals at one time. This piece of gear looks like it
might be
a receiver or generator. It has a 180 degree dial, 4-5 knobs, 1-2 switches
and
four banana jacks on the front panel. I don't know the tube complement yet.
Who knows anything about this company and their product offering? The piece
in
question looks like it's from the early-to-mid 40's.
