Guys,
I have this stack of Hallicrafters information that i beginning to get on my nerves. I move it from one place to another around the house ad the requirements are generated. I see original manuals along with lots of photocopies most of which are very good and readable. paperwork ranges from the SX-1 to a Fact sheet for the S-40B. In some instances there are duplicates.
A couple of items i wasn't aware of, not being a Hallicrafters follower it's not surprising but as an example i have two sets of instructions for the S-20R. Both have the same June 15, 1945 date on them. On one of the front cover sheets below the picture of the receiver is says, "the hallicrafters co., Chicago U.S.A.. At the top of the page it says "Operating Instructions Sky Champion Model S-20R". On the second set of instructions i have with the same date, it says at the top "Operating, Alignment & Servicing Instructions for Sky Champion Model S-20R" and at the botoom below the receiver in stead of the hallicrafters co, it has a square block with Northrop at the top, the h for hallicrafters in the middle, the word hallicrafters is below the h and WILCOX at the bottom of the block. The hallicrafters documentation number of 94X016 is the same on each document. How and where or when did Northrop and Wilcox get involved in hallicrafters work? I also see this on the paperwork for the S-19R.
All this information weighs several lbs. I'll gladly let it go for $20 plus postage. Otherwise i suspect it will end up in the round file as i need to clean out some of the paperwork around here i have no use for.
