[Boatanchors] Rare HT-36 has surfaced

John,

Well it was that line on your web site : "While I don't know everything about
tubes or the technology in this radio...."

Its like saying "I don't much much about guns but I just bought a field
cannon..." (OK that's a bit of exaggeration ...)

And yes, I have seen many beautiful rigs rendered much worse than first found
by neophytes.

I remember when I vaporized the CRT filament on a National tv set because I
failed to replace that "one last paper cap."

I was 19 years old at the time. The horror.... The shame... I still remember
that bright light and then darkness. A haunting memory

But seriously, I do with all sincerity wish you the best success with such a
rare piece.

And you could not have picked a more knowledgeable person than Glen to guide you
through the process.

Congratulations on a fantastic find and take your time. We all look forward to
the results

And yes, I wish I had found it first !
