The net is going strong, but the time is 1 PM CDT now. Immediately
following the Hallicrafters Net and followed by the Heathkit Net on the
same frequency. Primary net control K5LYN is off for a time and I did
not hear any of the backups yesterday due to the contest.

The "Boatanchors Unlimited" group hits 3870 mhz at 7:30 PM CT - centered
around Texas but with check-ins from around the midwest.

And there's a fun-filled hour or two of vintage sideband junk operation
on 3838 kc every Saturday morning at 10AM CDT in the midwest:
www.vintagessb.net

Even if you aren't within range you can hear audio clips and see lots of
pics and videos at the website, and sometimes access streaming audio
and/or video while the net is in progress. (Our motto: "Just because
we prefer half-century-old vacuum tube technology doesn't make us Luddites!)
