I hope he has at least enough knowledge to begin by drawing out a schematic.
That's going to be a tough act! If he is *absolutely* green with refard
to hollow state, he won't even be able to tell what are capacitors vs
resistors.
Hell, even I have problems with some of the Hallicrafters gear! I have
to check parts VERY carefully!
Don't get me wrong, *I* would love a challenge like that. However, it
definitely is not easy, simple, NOR fast!
