Yeah, memory sure is going! That "mod" could be done to several 1625 brands 
but had nothing to do with filaments. It was to seperate the suppressor grid 
lead from the cathode and stick it into the unused pin 5 next to it. Now you 
could use it in GG; I still have some of those tubes.
