I was recently given a cosmetically nice Eico 221 VTVM. That's the good news. I plugged it in and turned it on hoping I'd see some meter movement after it warmed up. Unfortunately, the front panel lamp didn't light and the meter didn't move. Taking it apart, I discovered the power transformer is missing along with the 1.5V battery and holder that's used for measuring resistance.
I downloaded the manual from BAMA but it doesn't say what the transformer secondary HV is. It has two windings, one 6.3 and one HV, which is center-tapped and feeds the 6X4 rectifier. I am hoping to find someone that knows approximately what the secondary voltage should be or, better yet, someone who has one of these meters that will pull the six front panel screws out and the single rear cabinet screw and measure the secondary voltage as I'd like to put a replacement transformer in it. Knowing where the battery holder is supposed to go would also be nice. I think it might mount on the inside rear of the cabinet.
TIA,
