[Boatanchors] HRO tuning drive outer shaft

I have an HRO capacitor assembly together with the knob (this is the
nifty arrangement with the 'tens' number showing through one of 5
slots in a large circular dial.

Mounting for this is onto a concentric shaft. The inner is the tuning
capacitor drive. The outer is stationary and is supposed to be an
interference fit onto the outer part of the knob mechanism.

Unfortunately the interference fit doesn't interfere any more, so the
tens indicator doesn't work. The knob assembly itself is OK, just the
shaft is the a problem.

Is there a good way to anchor the outer shaft? I'd like to use this
assembly and it would be nice if I could use the knob also.
