     Not to worry about Camden:

The state of NJ took over the city several years ago and things got worse.

The US government assigned the Battleship New Jersey to be stationed there. So far the locals haven't figured out how to steal it, cut it up, and sell it for scrap. (The ham club there is doing a good job, but no one wants to visit.)

The big radio store at the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge was Radio Electric, good when it was open, but has been gone for quite a while.

Housing: Fixer-uppers are cheap and you can get a fix there.

Artwork abounds all over town. "If it doesn't move, paint it."

Every block has a bond-fire.

Cars there have found a way to park on milk crates and cement blocks.

Used auto parts are readably available.

In spite of all this, some good people are trying very hard to bring it back.
