To say the least, the trip to Camden was an eyeopener.  It was
January of 1978, and of course, we had a blizzard during that time,
which killed any chance of sightseeing into Philadelphia or even
Washington DC over the weekend (it was a 2 week school).

It was the first time I saw true urban blight.

The school, the instructors, and the factory itself were
very much worth the trip.   On the factory tour, we
saw that there were no stairs between floors, just ramps.
These were put in during WWII to make the shift changes
happen faster, to keep production up.

But, I have no real desire to go back there.
