I worked in Philthydelphia, across the bridge, for a bit in the 80's. 
There was an electronics house right at the foot of the bridge on the 
Camden side.  Can't remember the name but they had anything and 
everything you could want.

The aquarium is very nice.
(There, I said something positive.)

However, they did just lay off quite a few of their police, so caveat 
visitor.
