[Boatanchors] Cart Machines

saw a few of these threads.   You guys are fun.

I was a broadcaster for over 50 years and have fixed all types of cart 
machines from the McMartin, first one which used reflective tape to cue 
up.... to the much more complicated video tape cart machines.  Went to 
school on some of them.  RCA and Ampex made the most popular 2 inch 
video cart machines.
Audio cart machines were made by so many manufacturers, listing them all 
would be difficult.  The first cart machines, after the McMartin, that 
used "cue tone" were Harris, RCA and Broadcast Engineering.

You guys sure brought back some memories.   Have fun discussing an 
important part of broadcasting history.  It won't be too many years and 
those of us that "remember" won't be here.
