I always thought it went something like "If you want to find/hear it,
use a Collins. If you want to listen to it, use a
Hammarlund/National/<insert favorite push-pull receiver here>. Nobody
could touch Collins for accuracy and stability, but they were always
strictly comms-quality in the audio dept. An old Super Pro, SX-28,
NC-240-D etc is so much easier on the ears. And fun to play with.

But you already knew this, Al.  I could tell by your pile of goodies
at Shelby if nothing else. (o:
