No Garey, The HX 20 does not do AM. Barbara, my wife , K5MOL and I built an HX 
20about the time I entered Graduate school and before Law School. It was a tough 
kit to build because it was so compact and crowded. It has the almost exact 
circuitry as the HX 10 Marauder less the power supply. Can you imagine that much 
circuitry in such a small box/ 


I used the HX 20 with my first 2B and being sorry I let it the 2B go, I bought 
another from you. That same summer, I bought an HX 20 from a ham in Ontario, 
Canada.  I hope to put them on the air together soon. I would like to find a HP 
20 power supply for the HX 20. Good to see your post and correspond with you.

One good match, physically, is the Heathkit HX-20. It's a nice grid block keyed 
cw and crystal filter ssb transmitter.  Single 6146 PA.  I don't recall if it 
does AM or not.
