PS easy to home brew.  The 22.5V battery originally used for the  
modulators no longer available but there's an unused pin on the power  
connector that can be used to bring bias in from an external source  
(like the PS that will have to be built up).  The rig covers 160M but  
won't really load up right into 50 ohms on that band without some  
external L & C help.  The audio driver xformer is a common failure  
point but there's a nifty phase inverter mod that works great as a  
replacement.  Nice little radio, though.  I've had one for years and   
run it through  my linear on occasion.  Has an NBFM mode too that does  
work.  Made one FM to FM, AF-67 to AF-67 some years ago with a friend  
who is now a silent key.
