Not if your package gets inspected!  The Post Office doesn't have any time limit on advertising even though any advertisement that is over a few years old generally isn't worth much to the company.

From what I have heard, too many people were sending things like bulk shipments of advertising material for physical distribution (i.e. handouts at events).
