Looks like my posts have generated quite a bit of discussion on this subject.

Old QSL cards document an event that took place, a random on-the-air
encounter and there are many people, amateurs and non-hams alike who
avidly collect them. The interest may be thematic as is the case
with post card collectors in general. In fact HELLO WORLD: A LIFE IN
HAM RADIO, written by Danny Gregory and Paul Sahre, published by
Princeton Architectural Press in 2003 is a book that details the
hobby and life of Jerry Powell, W2OJW (SK). The inspiration for the
book was 369 of Jerry's QSL cards that the author, a non-amateur,
acquired after his death. It is probably the best book about amateur
radio for the non-amateur reader.

There's also the art form factor. Some are very attractive and
original works of art. I am in the process of downsizing my
collections of "stuff" and my QSL card collection is not exempt. I
want to see that the "stuff" goes to someone who will treasure it.

The lot of the 1X2 callsign cards are sold. In fact I sold three
lots of them. So SOMEBODY wants them.

Michael, W1RC
