My first 100 Novice cards were free from Pan American Airways. All the
Pan American cards I've seen had the call letters in "block" or "modern"
type font. My call was printed on the cards in a "classic" style font.
Still have several original cards around here. Never received any other
free cards from vendors or manufacturers. From Pan American cards I moved
on to the "Brownie" produced cards. Can't remember who printed my current
cards. Haven't sent out a card in years. Still have a stack I wrote out
back in the 90's for a bunch of 6 meter contacts, mainly for DX country
confirmation; I'll send them out soon. It just isn't as important to me
any more.
