If the seller has earned the cards himself over the years and wants to sell his own cards - thats ok. If they were earned by someone else thats ok too, but I would have no pleasure in owning them as a fellow ham. To some - they are like stamps - and I can see a group of collectors wanting them and setting goals to aquire certain ones - and also some may have old and rare stamps on them themselves - a bonus for some. Ive seen collections of SWL cards and letters from short wave and radio stations made up in albums - these were very neat to see, and many would be happy to aquire these. Theres interesting radio history tied in things like that. One way for others to enjoy QSL cards is to pick a small number of yours or (deceased hams) very choicest /significant cards - frame them together along with his QSL card and maybe a picture of the station in the middle, and give them as a donation to a radio museum for them to hang for the visitors to see. Ive seen one museum that has 2 large picture frames filled with rare and interesting DX cards from many different SK hams - draws lots of interest and praise. For mine though, Im being cremated when I fall off the perch, and Im leaving instructions for mine to accompany me.
