I saw their program last week where they got some Scott vacuum tube circa
1960 units. Nothing out of the ordinary if you remember them from that
era.
Fun program to watch but it's too late in the evening though at that hour
here with my wife not glued to the TV and her Replay TV I can at least
bypass the Replay and use the TV bare to see it in HD.
They make it look like it's unstaged but obviously there's a TV crew in the
wings that is doing all the filming, including when they knock on the door
and meet the owner(s) at the very first.
It's actually a reality show where they've done a good job of keeping the
microphones and cameras and crew members hidden to make it look spontaneous.
This is the first of the 8 or 9 shows that I've seen where there has been
radio gear. I keep looking to see an early 1900s radio or a 1940s scanning
TV but so far none that I could see.
